“Whenever the seasons transition, it’s cold and rainy. It’s just very Parisian.”
Day 3: Wednesday
Woke up to dark clouds and rain and decided that it was appropriate to stay in bed a little longer and catch up on emails before New York wakes up.
Lily and I wanted a simple baguette sandwich for lunch and Caractère de Cochon is just around the corner from us. This is a very simple and straightforward cheese and charcuterie shop that makes sandwiches. You walk in and tell the staff helping you what kind of cured meat and cheese you want and they’ll cut it right in front of you and stuff it in a baguette. You walk out with quite possibly the best sandwich of your life. I don’t eat pork so I got the vegetarian option (a secret they don’t really like to advertise) which came with pickles, cheese and artichoke on a very buttered baguette. We noted that we want to come back at least two more times before the end of the trip.

I had a fitting at the Levi’s hq for the opening of their Haus of Strauss in Le Marais - an invite and appointment-only concept that is “intentionally kept under the radar”. It will serve as a haven where talent, creatives and industry leaders can come and experience the best expression of the Levi’s brand, housing archives, collaboration pieces and historical artifacts and motifs of the iconic heritage brand.
I walked around the corner to Carven to check out their new collection, which is just divine. I always have to get something, of course, so I got this double wool boxing tank top that is just the right amount of side boob and open back so I can stay both cheeky and cozy this fall winter.
We were tired and napped and decided to just go around the corner to a bistro to sit outside, drink wine and people watch. Very unmemorable food but very cute vibes, so nothing to recommend here. I wore this fun all-denim look because what else do you wear to a Levi’s event? Honey Dijon DJed, people danced, there was such a palpable energy. An observation I wanted to note was just how fun this event was — which is not to say that events in New York can’t be fun but everyone was just having a genuinely good and relaxed time.
Went to bed at like 3 am. Yikes.
Day 4: Thursday
Woke up to another dark and rainy day in Paris. We had plans to shoot around town but they were quickly ruined by the downpour so we spent most of the day wandering around the fancy 1st arrondissement before and after a showroom visit with Lié Studio. They rented a beautiful Pied-a-Terre that’s available to rent to the public, decorated impeccably by the same designer who just opened the newest Hotel Chateau d’Eau.
The new The Row Store is as beautiful as all the viral images, Jean Prouvé dressing room door and all. There was only a short wait, and I imagine it would be a lot longer had the weather been more… palatable.
